Vic loved to travel. He was born in New York City June 2, 1909 to Margaret McGrath and Victor (Vito) Fimia. His parents sent him to live with his aunt Ellen McGrath Galban in Havana Cuba for long periods of time so he could get over his chronic bronchitis. As a young adult, he traveled to Rome Italy to study medicine in the mid 1930’s. During his vacations, he traveled around Europe and visited both family homes in Ireland and Sicily. He’s the one with smoking the pipe in this photo!
